Sky One is the fourth oldest channel in United Kingdom, since 1982. The three firsts are BBC One, ITV, and BBC Two. Sky One is an entertainment channel available on digital satellite via Sky Digital, Virgin Media and TalkTalk TV.

Sky 1 started like European TV Station since 1982 in Finland and Norway and after in Switzerland and Malta. In 1984 Murdoch renamed the channel to Sky channel and started to produce hmo grown programs like European Music, soaps, series from United States, children's programs like The DJ Cat show and Fun Factory. Besides, the new management increased the number of customers in all Europe.

After the successful in many countries Sky One launched in United Kingdom, Benelux and North countries.

British Sky Network

In 1989 Sky One signed with some important advertisers and became the most popular Digital cable channel. In 2000 was launched in Ireland with special promotions and advertising. Since 2006 Sky One launched in High Dfinition for all world.
