 Showtime Channel is a Australian channels package wich includes 5 original channels: showcase, showtime action, showtime premiere, showtime drama and showtime comedy, 3 channels with High definition and 2 timeshift channels. This channel is owned by PMP and 20th Century Fox and Liberty lobal have the same shares.
In 1995 Showtime channel was created like a part of the basic package, broadcasting only first run films. At the same time was launched Encore (its sister, launching old films). Those channels originally started in California. In 2002, the popularity of the channel grew up, that was guessed after became available in Optus Television.
In 2007, the company started to launch Showtime channels. And the last move was in 2009, Showtime Greats was renamed to 3 channels: Drama, Comedy and Action.
