Launched in 1977, NTA channel ( Nigerian Television Authority ), the charge of the channel is directed by the government, at the begging was the first channel in Africa transmitting live news related to the military authorities.

The number of programs shown in NTA channel can be founded in the official site, basically frequent bulletins are transmitted by Africa Independient Television. Many years later Sky Digital added the channel to its network.
